wierd IVMAN issue. Please help..

ok im running the 2007 arch install (Dont Panic!) and I've set it up with OpenBox with Thunar

I followed the gentoo ivman howto http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_ivman and everything required is installed and is initiating jsut fine. My error persists when i attemp to unmount a Flash drive or SD card or CD/DVD within thunar. I get this error...

FAILED TO UMOUNT

(exo-unmount:7536): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
    Using the fallback 'C' locale.
/usr/lib/xfce4/exo-mount-notify-0.3: error while loading shared libraries: libnotify.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
The volume "FlashDrive" was probably mounted manually on the command line.

I tried thunar-volman and it seems to work, but i prefer ivman. Is there anyone that knows any solution.
I am running ivman as a user(in groups: users, optical, storage, disk) ... i did have ivman working on previous installation.... sad

thanks all for the time and the efforts..

-anthony
