Kmail problem

I am using Kmail as my mail client. When I read and replay to messages, instead of having a blue line, it inserts carrots for quoted text. Is there a way to format it this way?

Re: Kmail problem

You message seems to be in plain text. Try setting Kmail to use html mails. It's in the security tab of kmail's config.

Re: Kmail problem

Thanks for the reply. I did select prefer HTML messages, but still I get the same format when replying to sender. Maybe does it have to do with the templates?

It is related to standards an RFCs. That's the way it has to be smile

If you still wanna change that, I think you can do so on the "template" section in the configs.

Re: Kmail problem

Hi, Thanks for the response.

Could you be a bit more specific about how to change it. I am looking at the template section in the config and cannot see where to use, for example a blue indented line instead of the ">" carrot for quoted text.

thanks

Re: Kmail problem

The "blue indented line" is simply a mail clients representation of the ">" symbol.  (IE. thunderbird).  If you look at the source of the email, the ">" symbols are there.

To my knowledge, there is no way of achieving same in kmail.  It might be possible with the 3.5.6+ template system - but don't have much experience with it.
