Problem with startx

Hello everybody.

I used to use GDM as my Display Manager.
Now I changed to openbox and wanted to use the .xinitrc so i thought i need to use startx.

Well i deleted the gdm tag in the deamon line and thought everything will work now.

But now i'm not able to run startx.

I get following EEs

(EE) AIGLX error: dlsym for __DriCreateNewScreen_20050727 failed (/usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/fglrx_dri.so: undifined symbol: __driCreateNewScreen_20050727)
(EE) AIGLX:reverting to software rendering
The xkeyboard keymap compiler (xkbcomp) reborts:
> WArning: Type "ONE_LEVEL" has 1 levels, but <RALT> has 2 symbols
> Ignoring extra symbols
Errors from xkbcomp are not fatal to the X server

I hope somebody can help me.

Thanks in advance

Re: Problem with startx

I would try disabling composite first, because that's what the error seems to be about. X is weird though.

Re: Problem with startx

Hello.

First of all thanks for your help, but how do you mean disable composite?
I don't really get it.

I have searched the xorg.conf for something like composite, but didn't find anything.

Nice Saturday

[EDIT] Solved my problem. Me = stupid, forgot to add exec openbox to the .xinitrc [/EDIT]
