pacman asks "Replace scrollkeeper with extra/rarian? [Y/n]"
Should I do this, what is going to be the result of this?
Edit: well, just 'did it' and all seems fine.. Questions like this make me nervous sometimes..

Almost 100% of the time, the answer should be yes, why? well because arch replaces an application that has been deprecated for a new upstream maintained option. And in the matter of upgrading GNOME 100% should be answered yes because from release to release they sometimes drop support for one application in favor of the other.

Here's another way of looking at it. You are not expected to use pacman, or Arch in general, in some kind of 'information vacuum'. There's a wealth of detail available about the applications that we package, and it is assumed that Archers know that.
Next time you get nervous, cancel your -Syu, and check out the question - pacman -Si could be enough, or a visit to archlinux.org/packages. Otherwise, try that friend that we all have.

Obviously I did, and found quit a lot of info.. Just thought asking the forum would give me a little more info on this, aparently this is what I wanted... don't really see why this deserves a RTFM kind of answer.
But thanks for your respons.

No offense, kel_p, but you simply asked how you should answer the replace question, so it was not obvious that you had done any checking at all. Hence my advice, which was given sincerely.
