pacman.d question

In pacman.d folder core is binary and all the others are text files. Also core is represented by an image of a bomb. Are they trying to tell me something.

'x-core' or simply core, is also the name of 'Program Crash Data'. At least KDE puts a bomb for core. It's scary, but it's fine. It's actually a file just like it's supposed to be. If you're still not sure, go to one of the Arch FTP sites, and your browser will probably put a bomb there too.
