HI Archers!
An IBM thinkwiki.org article discusses my issue but does not reveal whether or not a fix is available:
Problems the problem with this suspend script is, that after resuming, the laptop is incredibly slow. Applications start about 20 seconds, Firefox is lagging. But processor doesn't run at highest frequency, nothing seems unusual.
I am using kernel26resume2, but the problem persists across different kernels. As the above describes, when I press Fn+F4 (resume hotkey) the machine goes into resume, as it should. However, when it comes back up the windows are really sluggish and refreshing at a very slow rate. This is only fixed by a reboot, so far. Anyone have any other ideas?
TIA,

OK, so killing X solves this problem. Maybe an nvidia issue...?

have you fixed this problem? I'm getting the same issue and I don't know how to fix that.

I recommend you try with a 'vanilla' Arch kernel and pm-utils.

Use the most recent nvidia driver, it fixes that.

I saw that, it's nvidia-driver in archlinux.fr repo. You can get it with yaourt
