[CLOSED - SEE MONTHLY STICKIES] Arch Desktop Screenshots

Figured we needed a thread for this since there isn't one, so I'll start it off...

Here's my current one. Running fvwm-devel, and the theme is a modified one of Taviso's, that was modified by another guy, which was modified by me to the black theme. Enjoy. big_smile

EDIT: Modified for June...

Yay for the thread that doesn't exist!

What's missing is a howto for WMs. In Wiki the "Desktop Environments & X11" category is empty.
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/WikiContent

I suggest you change the subject to "Post Your Desktop Howto!" and post how did you configure your FVWM (its great). Or post in Wiki a general howto guideline.

Well, mine is a modified version of another guy's that was a modified version of someone else's, but I'll post it (fvwm2rc) when I get a chance, I'm currently not on the computer with it right now. However, it's not 100% completed to my customizations...

That is just a beautiful exercise in simplicity.  Kudos.  Mind posting some information about it?

Here

XFCE4 with an icon theme made by yours truely (well, I just copied it from Umicons really).

That's a nice looking FVWM screenshot, maybe I'll try messing with that piece someday, just for the fun of it at least wink

Re: [CLOSED - SEE MONTHLY STICKIES] Arch Desktop Screenshots

You know i think these threads serve an alternative purpose. Rather than just to show off your desktops, you fvwm users have just converted me from openbox to that wm. I switched over an hour ago, and I'm liking it more and more. Keep making these threads every month please  big_smile

It is a very simple app but works nice. The only problem is that it is always on top (at least in openbox)

pkgname=tpager
pkgver=0.2
pkgrel=1
pkgdesc="tpager or Tiny Pager is a very lightweight aplication designed to be fast and small. It shows your workspaces and allows you to change between them"
url="http://s1x.homelinux.net/tpager.php"
source=(http://s1x.homelinux.net/downloads/$pkgname-$pkgver.tar.bz2)
md5sums=('aa7bd0eccf4ec6871e4e8523282382f1')

build() {
  cd $startdir/src/$pkgname
  make || return 1
  mkdir -p $startdir/pkg/usr/bin/
  cp tpager $startdir/pkg/usr/bin/
