Hey MythTV users (MythWeb)

I put up a tutorial for MythWeb for those who want to manage things over the Internet.

I highly recommend MythTV on ArchLinux.  Thanks to the magic of pacman it is very easy to setup.  And unlike using a pre-built system like KnoppMyth you can understand it when you are done.

Re: Hey MythTV users (MythWeb)

Thanks!

What tuner are you using?  I have the Hauppauge PVR-350 and it has a bug with ivtv so I am trying to apply a kernel patch.

pvr-150. i used to have big troubles with it until i realized that i had to set the resolution of the tv-profiles to match the resolution of my tv (720x576).

which ivtv bug are you experiencing?

Re: Hey MythTV users (MythWeb)

Apparently there is a bug in the ivtv driver that can cause the MPEG decoder to lock up.  I don't think it's a problem on the PVR-150 because you are using a secondary card for video output.

If I remade my system I'd probably get a PVR-250 and an Nvidia instead of the 350.  Getting Xorg to work on its video out is a headache.
