Hello, I want to make a video about my Linux Desktop, but I need some programs for Linux:
1- A Desktop recorder that makes avi files about my desktop.
2- A video editor, like VirtualDub and/or Adobe premiere.
There are any programs for this in Linux?

Hi,
for screencasting there's RecordMyDesktop (never used it), istanbul (GNOME), Cankiri (never tried that either) and ffmpeg (maybe more I don't know of).
For video editing I can recommend avidemux. Made some good experiences with it.
