Can lilo do splash animations?

Well for slackware and suse and mandrake and a few others they can have splash images for lilo.. Like where lilo has some animations.. Is this posible with arch's lilo.. If not is there a patch for it or a source or arch binary package with support for it that i can install..

AFAIK you need gfxboot, gfxboot-devel, but they are available only for SuSe, RedHat and Slackware... You can use alien to convert packages.

Download theme and:

mv theme-name.boot /boot

add in lilo.conf:
message = /boot/theme-name.boot

and next do: lilo -v
