I have been looking around for a good clone of how Windows handles printers and found one, so here are the PKGBUILDs for both the required library and the program itself:

[ "$GNOMEDIR" = "" ] && source /etc/profile.d/gnome.sh
pkgname=libgnomecups

depends=('cups' 'glib2')

build() {
cd $startdir/src/$pkgname-$pkgver
./configure --prefix=/opt/gnome
make || return 1
make DESTDIR=$startdir/pkg install
}

I needed this one for Ximian OpenOffice too, so I tired to fix the compilation error.
When you do exactly what the error message say, it should work. It compiles, but that's all I can get out of it. Never seen such a piece of unstable software. When it comes to windows printer emulation, it's even worse than the spooler of NT4.
