Too big Buttons in XFCE4

I don't know what it is but all my buttons in apps (gtk2 i think) are too big. So too are text entry windows. It is the same problem on my laptop and my PC.

I've tried using different themes and icons, i've only got 2 types, but the issue wont go away.

Can anybody help me with this weird happening?

This screenshot shows the problem well. My xfce4 menu is too wide as well

What GTK theme are you using. Maybe it doesn't play nice with XFCE

Re: Too big Buttons in XFCE4

I've tried lots of themes to see if that is the issue but it doesn't appear to be. I've only installed the smooth gtk smooth themes but i had this problem before then which is odd as i haven't done anything diffeently since the last time i setup arch with xfce

ATM i'm using clearlooks (gtk2) and smooth-line (gtk1)
