SU asks for password, but there is no password

hello
when i installed arch i set a password for the root user, then i deleted it using passwd -d root. i can login normally as root, but as normal user i can't do su as it asks for password (when i hit enter it says "wrong password")
what can i do about it?

You can edit /etc/pam.d/su and uncomment the third line. Make sure your user is in the wheel group.
