when judd says Arch (or even ArchLinux), he pronounces it like in archer or like in ArchAngel?

I believe it's like in arc, just look at the logo.

probably depends on how much math he has taken.
In math arch is usually pronounces "ark" as in "arch cosine" pronounced "ark coe-sign"

But since there is already an arklinux, I always have pronounced it arch as in "archer", so as not to confuse the two.

I never thought about calling it anything but Arch ch ch ch, but maybe I'm wrong. My pronunciation is even worse than spelling.

Arch, like the golden arches. Archer, Archibald, Archie... It is not pronounced like ark.

A good way to think of it is mentioned in the docs... or a review or interview or something... Arch comes from arch nemesis.

I didn't know that arc had something to do with circles, I meant it like roman arches, but I thought it was pronounced ark (in spanish K is rarely used, so I wrote it arc).

never any confusion here it has been and always shal be arch as in golden arches. if it was pronounced "ark" then i assume the h would be removed. btw this is very much and OT topic no?
