Mic work but not recording!?

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to get my mic working (no usb) and had read through some post here to get it working and got it too cuz I can hear myself in my speakers so I guess it workes.

But when i wanna record with arecord with the following code:

arecord -vv -fdat foo.wav
=================

I get this error message:

ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:805:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) The dmix plugin supports only playback stream
arecord: main:546: audio open error: Ogiltigt argument
