Compiling stock kernel (a couple of questions and an error)

I want to compile the stock kernel with 1000hz timing with ABS.

I've changed the config_hz lines to config_hz_1000=y and config_hz=1000. Is it just a case of executing makepkg now?

Also I get this error when I run makepkg:

--21:32:19--  ftp://ftp.fsl.cs.sunysb.edu/pub/unionfs/unionfs-2.x/linux-2.6.22-rc4-u1.diff.gz
           => `linux-2.6.22-rc4-u1.diff.gz'

No such directory `pub/unionfs/unionfs-2.x'.

==> ERROR: Failure while downloading linux-2.6.22-rc4-u1.diff.gz
==> Aborting...

I've loaded the url into my browser and it appears that unionfs-2.x has changed to unionfs-2.0 but this url doesn't appear in the PKGBUILD file.

Also do I use the kernel26 package from /var/abs/kernels/kernel26 or /var/abs/core/base/kernel26 as they both appear to have a different amount of patches.

Re: Compiling stock kernel (a couple of questions and an error)

Delete everything from /var/abs/ that isn't named community, core, extra, testing, unstable, or local. Depends a bit on your setup, but it should correspond with what you've enabled in /etc/abs/abs.conf.
Any other folders you see were from the time before the current -> core repo move and are therefore stale.

kernel26 should be in /var/abs/core/base/

Re: Compiling stock kernel (a couple of questions and an error)

OK. Well I just deleted everything in /var/abs and ran abs again to get a fresh directory tree.

So I take it it's just a matter of running 'makepkg' with the new timings to compile the stock kernel? I'm not bothered about tailoring it to my specific needs.

Re: Compiling stock kernel (a couple of questions and an error)

I've compiled the kernel with 1000hz. 'kconfig26' shows 1000 in the config_hz settings so I guess all is well. Is that the only way to tell?
