evolution 2.12.1-1 has gone slow

Is it just my machine or has evolution gone slow for other people?

Examples are:
I'm seeing a "formatting message" message flash up while stepping through mails
When replying to mails if the cursor wraps down a line and has to push other text downwards it can sometimes take a couple of words of typing before the display catches up
Redrawing the gui if I've changed desktops and then come back can take up to a second
general start up is now slower than it used to be.

None of these changes make it unusable but compared to the last version it is definitely noticeable. It seems to be something to do with the graphics engine rather than the smtp/network part.

I'm on version:
extra/evolution 2.12.1-1

very slow for me as well.

additionally, if I let it sit for a while I am no longer able to reply to messages at all.  the reply button stays depressed and the whole application becomes unresponsive until I kill it.

on the flip side, the global address book via Exchange now works great.  just wish I could reply to people, that's all...

The other thing I've noticed is that it sometimes idles at 10-20% CPU usage. Don't know what it is doing but whatever it is is whats slowing it down.

it happens to me too, especially in the formating message thing (I initially though it was the huge imap gmail account, but it seems it isn't)

Since this new version it is doing it on all my imap accounts if I switch between mails too quickly.
