X is blurry on all (users) but root.

Well, when I use startx as root, I get a nice looking Openbox thing, and all's fine, but on any other user, the fonts become blurry (Maybe something else too, it's hard to tell), I've had the blurriness problem on root, but a "X -configure" fixed it, the same doesn't help for other users.

(By the way, how come when I use the -p tag on useradd, the password doesn't get encrypted)

I'd appreciate any help, but be warned, I'm mostly a Linux n00b. big_smile

EDIT:

I get after I cancel X:

FreeFontPath: FPE "usr/share/fonts/misc:unscaled" refcount is 2 should be 1 fixing.

And this is what I get when I run "X -configure":
FatalServerError:
Cought signal 11. Server aborting.

Re: X is blurry on all (users) but root.

You should check for any ~/.fonts.conf files. I was just trying to figure out why my fonts were looking nasty, and apparently I had created a per-user config in my home directory that was messing up my sub-pixel hinting. It might be something similar in your case.
