Yep all Java apps are broken right now for me

Something wrong with the X server upgrade - but I'm sure the devs will figure it out - downgraded for the time being.

everything works fine here. I just ran pacman -Syu and everything still works!
But when I ran the upgrade it showed me:
[...]
installed pixman (0.9.6-1)
:: Another libwfb has been detected.
upgraded xorg-server (1.2.0-5 -> 1.4-4)
and everything seems to be working properly.

All Java apps broken...
Which packages should I downgrade?
BTW. Why this thread is in the newbie corner? I think "Pacman & Package Upgrade Issues" would be a better place...

Because I am still a newbie;)
And since azurues wasn't part of the upgrade, I wasn't 100% sure that's what caused it.

Look this: http://www.webservertalk.com/message2120653.html
I typed this before starting my java app from a terminal:
export LIBXCB_ALLOW_SLOPPY_LOCK=true
Worked. ;o)

^didn't work for me........downgraded again:(
EDIT: That worked....once I followed your post closer:-)
I added export LIBXCB_ALLOW_SLOPPY_LOCK=true to my ~/.xinitrc and can use java apps w/o terminal.

Same problem here, workaround works.

export LIBXCB_ALLOW_SLOPPY_LOCK=true
Could somebody tell me what exactly it does?
I've found an info, that above limits the functionality of JRE somehow...

Using the workaround made my BlueJ start again
But it shows many errors on startup.
Anyway, I can work again now. Thanks
