After today's updates (mesa, libgl,, xserver), I am having problems with java plug-in not working in firefox.
I went to different testing web pages and, though java script is detected, none of java applets will work in my browser (latest ff)
latest system update done today (11-06-07)

thanks, but
export LIBXCB_ALLOW_SLOPPY_LOCK=true
will work when you load java apps directly I think.
it does nothing for firefox java plug-in (at least in my case)

Try inserting that environment string into /etc/profile.d/jre.sh
I did that and jre seems to be working again with last night's X11 updates installed.

Somebody on bugtracker has come with a real fix:
How to fix it:
sed -i 's/XINERAMA/FAKEEXTN/g' /opt/java/jre/lib/i386/xawt/libmawt.so
Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.
