My Compiz issue is with the video driver for my media player. In metacity, I was using Totem and it had a really nice picture quality that worked with most every media stream I found.
I also used xine-ui which I like, but found it didn't work with as many video streams and it wasn't as good of a picture quality.
Then, when I use Compiz Fusion, they both crash and wouldn't play video in the default settings. I am however able to play video using xine-ui with the xshm video driver, but it is a much worse video quality...
...is there a way to fix the video quality while using Compiz Fusion? Is there a better way to play video in Compiz other than using the xshm video driver in xine-ui? If not... is there some settings that I could use to make it better picture quality?
The video driver I use is xf86-video-intel 2.1.1-2 from testing, I also use the new xorg-server from testing.
Any help for either of these issues would be nice. Thanks,
-c.

it's a bug in the driver AFAIK.
set video output via gstreamer-properties to no xv

If they're crashing, check you have video playback enabled in CCSM (its a plugin of its own, in the utility section)
