how to videocall/videoconference?

I bought a webcam so I can call family and have video and sound going in both directions.
I got the impression this was possible, but I'm struggling with it. I have had success seeing either one webcam, or both separately, in kopete but it ddoesn't seem to support the msn videoconference thing. I tried amsn but that doesn't support videoconference either. I heard that skype now supports video on linux.....
Basically, I want to know exactly what people are using to contact windows-users with videocall and how is their set up?

Hi,

I have tested several setups.

1. ekiga, it's a full featured VoIP Client, so every other VoIP Client which implements the standard should receive voice and video. I have tested it with ekiga clients only.
2. wengophone, a VoIP client, too. Exists on Linux, Windows and Macs. On all platform video is working.
3. skype. Since the latest beta from skype video runs fine from linux to windows and the other way round.
4. amsn works here without problems. I can send my video and receive it from my chat partner

I have a Typhoon Webshot II, it works with the gspcav1 package from community.

I managed now to set up and test ekiga with sound and webcam, it works ok.
Now I need to call my friend's windows machine - what software can he use so that we can talk together? I guess there is some kind of windows sip client, but I don't know of any
