Keyboard not working properly since upgrade

I am running Arch on a hp dv6000t laptop and since the xorg upgrade, it would seem that I cannot repeat keystrokes by holding down the respective key. Is anyone else experiencing this? Thanks in advance.

Re: Keyboard not working properly since upgrade

I have the same problem, with the same laptop. Sometimes my keyboard responses slowly as well. Only in KDE. In a console, it's fine. I've just been restarting X to get it to work properly. It comes and goes.

Re: Keyboard not working properly since upgrade

I was having the same problem with a regular wireless keyboard on my desktop PC, and as with the poster above the problem only occurs in KDE. I tried both kdemod and a regular KDE installation but the problem remained. By chance I changed the keyboard driver from "kbd" to "keyboard" due to Xorg refusing to accept my Norwegian keyboard (despite the fact that it worked just fine in a regular console), and that seems to have taken care of the keyboard repeat problem in KDE as well (possibly due to the fact that I now no longer have to use the keyboard layout settings in kcontrol).

Heh, it would appear that I spoke to soon as it just happened again. No need to restart X to fix, logging in/out of KDE solves it until it happens again. Would be nice to figure out what the cause of this is...
