I have installed Arch on IBM ThinkPad 22 and I have a problem with my sound card.
When I run
sudo alsaconf
cs46xx and legacy are found. Either I use the first or the second the sound starts working, but only until next reboot and then I have to run it again, it wouldn't be a big problem (only annoyance), but users without root access can't do this. It worked correctly with any other Linux distro I used before. Does anyone know solution to this?

You probably need to add some stuff to /etc/rc.conf.
Sounds like you probably want to add 'snd-cs46xx' to MODULES and 'alsa' to DAEMONS.

Thanks. snd-cs46xx already was in MODULES, but adding alsa to DAEMONS fixed the problem.
