unofficial patches

I recompile all my packages from source, and I use my own local patches to modify a dozen or so packages. Bash, for example, I modify the PKGBUILD to link statically. I'm also interested in knowing what patches other distros use, but I don't have much time to research them. It would be nice to have a forum for discussing and posting unofficial patches to arch packages. Anyone else interested?

Re: unofficial patches

if the patch is really usefull, then i would suppose that people post a bug to include it to the official package --- other things (like build something statically) is done by using ABS

everyone is free to post patch-links, but remember: patchwork is in most cases not that great than fixing the problem - so if something goes definitely wrong with a software, then a patch is only a intermediate solution - the normal solution would be to contact the author and tell him/her how to change the code
