Heya,
I recently purchased a new Toshiba A210-11P and am looking to install linux on it. However after reading a few posts there seem to be people suffering wireless-related problems with distros like Ubuntu.
My hardware is as follows:
- AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-56 1.8GHz
- 2048Mb DDR2 667MHz RAM
- ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 (256Mb dedicated, 1023Mb maximum)
- Atheros AR5007EG wireless
- Realtek RTL8101 (NDIS 6.0) ethernet
- 15.4" TruBrite WXGA TFT/LCD
- DVD-RAM drive
Do ye guys know if this hardware is supported? I know that some people have got the wireless working with ndiswrapper and one or two with cvs madwifi (though the site mentioned is down now).
Any help would be much appreciated
Cheers,

The wireless needs ndiswrapper, madwifi doesn't support it yet. You can get the WinXP drivers at www.atheros.cz, Atheros' US site doesn't have any drivers available for download for some reason.
(Don't worry, it should work fine. The ndiswrapper module occasionally has to be reloaded to keep networkmanager happy, but I think that's networkmanager's problem.)
