I just installed a fresh Arch i686 and when I try to run rankmirrors i get this errormsg:
-bash: /usr/bin/rankmirrors: /usr/bin/python: bad interpreter: No such file or directory
Anyone god with python or know the error?

Installing python should help.

Sure would I guess. Just tought it would be installed when I installed the base. Anyway, even though I did not install it manually, it's been installed during my configuration and setup of the system, so it works now. It's good to have it documented here at the forum though I searched and did not find any info about it. Hopefully others will now

See the _rankmirrors function - that is output when pacman is installed.
