I am on arch64, I am using the bcm43xx drivers and i use wifi-radar to log on to the network. (my schools network)
Anyway, after I connect, around half an hour later, my internet disconnects and i cant reconnect for a while, even though the signal is strong.
Anyone know what the problem could be?

Sounds like it could be a driver issue. After all bcm43xx is quite new and under "heavy" development.
Have you checked the logs for any information about why it keeps disconnecting? I couldn't get my laptop wlan working at all with bcm43xx and use ndiswrapper instead. It's not working too well for me at the moment, but most people seem to recommend it over bcm43xx, so I think you should try it, if you haven't yet. There's a section about it in Arch wiki:

Im thinking it might be my schools network, i had similar problems with ndiswrapper. Oddly enough, my connection on XP is good.

I had the same exact problem. I finally bought an intel pro wireless 2200, because I could only connect to my school's wifi with ndiswrapper, and I could only connect to my home network with the kernel module. Was the most annoying thing ever. I tried for hours to troubleshoot that thing. Best I can tell you is that certain version of the card are absolute garbage under linux.
