openbox + rox-desktop ?

I'm looking for a good-looking minimalist system, and I saw some nice looking openbox+rox screenshots.  Is anyone running this combination?  I didn't realize rox had a menu bar, I thought it was mostly a file-manager.

I saw them here:

I want a menubar, and ROX's looked okay in the screenshots.   Ive seen a lot of people using PyPanel as a menubar, but I don't want to have to learn anything about Python, so I have avoided it.  I've run fbpanel before, it was pretty good, but I think only one guy is working on it.  I've considered xfce4-panel, but then why not just run xfce4?  I'm not sure why I like OpenBox so much, maybe because I know its not doing anything I dont know about.

For sure pypanel hasn't a lot of functionalities, but a least it's beautiful. ROX's panel has plugins, but you cannot configure it's size or appearance sad But if you don't mind that, it's a lot of fun !
