I am trying to install Arch for the first time, and maybe I am just doing something wrong, but after selecting the install source "CD-ROM or OTHER SOURCE" option (installing from a CD) the options I get are:
1 Prepare Hard Drive
2 Select Packages
3 Configure System
5 Install Bootloader
6 Exit Install
I have seen what my options should be from the wiki here and other documentation, the most important option missing being Install Kernel
I have tried burning two disks so far on two different computers and on different occasions and mirrors, both giving me the exact same problem
I have also tried running through the installation as it is, this only results in a kernel panic booting without the CD.
Am I doing something wrong?

I'm bored so ill answer because probably no one else will.
Do you think if there is a kernel panic then there is the chance that the kernel is installed? If there would be no kernel then how could it panic?
The CD is OK. The kernel will be installed and image will be generated at "Configure System" option.
I'm using the Force right now, because you didn't gave here any information about the true problem (witch is on 90% badly configured boot loader or 10% badly configured kernel image). You are using LILO and select the "arch" option at boot. Try using "arch-fallback".
-- EDIT --
Sorry about that, i had a rough day before i wrote that post. Next time I'll do better job helping people
(I also fixed my late night spelling)

great first post ^^^ , I will try to do a better job at answering your question.
That option is no more, because arch is a 'bleeding edge' distro there can only be one kernel image to install, the most up to date bleeding edge version. So by default u don't have the option to choose anymore, its done automatically.
Just continue to install skipping over that in particular paragraph.
