XFCE4 panel problems with gtk2 2.4.2-1

when I upgraded to gtk2 2.4.2-1 the icons on my xfce4-panel wasnt displayed properly.
they were cut about 10 % on each side, and the attached launchers werent displayed.

It all worked like it should, so this is just a  'look' issue, but still its an issue.
downgraded to gtk2 2.4.1-1  and it looked perfect again.

anyone else experienced the same ?

ok, I have tested this on both my machines - same result, this seems to be a bug.
Am I the only one experiencing this ?

Looks fine here. I'm using the BlueCurve icons that come w/ XFCE.

Re: XFCE4 panel problems with gtk2 2.4.2-1

yep thats the one...

xfce4-panel
    * provide good default configuration -- DONE (no better suggestions)
    * Fix cropping effect on icons with gtk 2.4.2. With gtk 2.4.1 all is fine.

btw, im using the bluecurve-theme too, but my icons are cropped...

Re: XFCE4 panel problems with gtk2 2.4.2-1

I just downgraded to gtk 2.4.1 - that fixes the problem.. (avoiding the problem is probably more correct.. cause it doesnt really fix anything..)
my quote is from lanrat's link(xfce4 todo list), and its a xfce4 panel problem..

You can get the old version of GTK by getting the gkt2 PKGBUILD through abs and putting the version number back one and makepkging it.

exactly :-) - or use srcpac to build+install it and add it to IgnorePkg in pacman.conf so that it do not become updated when you next time do -Suy the system
