There have been a number of threads with problems with xv since the Xorg update. I don't think any found a solution though...

To me your xorg.conf looks strange.. There are two pieces of Section "Device" and I'm not sure, if they make problems. Only in one of them you set the Option "VideoOverlay" "on". If you put that into the other one, your video playback might work with xv as output driver.
