ReiserFS4 status?

Just what is the status of ReiserFS4 these days? I can't get the namesys site to come up.

Just because I'm an inveterate tweaker, every now and then I think about changing over to ReiserFS4 on one of my "play" configs.

Does it look as if ReiserFS4 support will continue?

Same status as it was 4 years ago. Not being merged to vanilla in the near future, and distros are reluctant to include support on their own as the filesystem itself still hasn't proven itself.

Also the fact that the main developer of ReiserFS, Hans Reiser, is under the gun for criminal activities pretty much spells zero development for further releases/versions of ReiserFS.

It says in the bottom of the Wikipedia article about Reiser that the work is being continued by Namesys. One thing is for sure: this has become one infamous file system.

I was aware of that, but I can never get the namesys site to open. I've wondered if they're defunct.

One thing is for sure: this has become one infamous file system.

The pub.namesys.com domain still works and apparently work on reiser4 is still being done.
