[solved] Pacman problem -- (could not find or read package)

VirtualBox no longer runs and I dont know why.  This below is weird too.

eh?? Little help:

[shane@Shane-Arch ~]$ sudo pacman -S virtualbox
:: virtualbox-ose-1.5.2-1: local version is up to date. Upgrade anyway? [Y/n] n
warning: virtualbox-ose-1.5.2-1 is up to date -- skipping
local database is up to date
[shane@Shane-Arch ~]$ sudo pacman -R virtualbox
error: failed to add target 'virtualbox' (could not find or read package)

Thanks,
Shane

Re: [solved] Pacman problem -- (could not find or read package)

Well... okay i figured that out.  It is  "virtualbox-ose"

But the problem is still that virtualbox doesnt run or give me any errors.

If I try to run it like so:

[shane@Shane-Arch ~]$ virtualbox

Then it just freezes my console.  Even CTRL+C doesnt stop it..  Are there any logs or somewhere I can look for vbox errors?

Thanks,
Shane

Re: [solved] Pacman problem -- (could not find or read package)

search for kernel 2.6.23.8 in pacman cache directory and install it with pacman -U <pkg>

Well, so you know they released a new version of the VirtualBox modules and now it's working fine after a pacman -Syu smile
