how to play online radio programs?

I am an avid listener of BBC. I got rhythmbox and seems it can only play .pls links but not the type in :

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/

What programs shall I install to be able to listen to the programs above?

(by the way, I like BBC because its accent sounds 'noble' to me and I am still    polishing my english)

When false is taken for true, true becomes false;
If non-being turns into being, being becomes non-being.

Pages full of fantastic talk
Penned with bitter tears;
All men call the author mad,
None his message hears.

Re: how to play online radio programs?

You just need realplayer - there is a link after you click on a radio station to listen using the stand-alone realplayer. There is a linux version available for download on the realplayer website - there is another thread in the forum on setting it up.
Mplayer can also handle various streaming audio types - definitely mms at least.
