Amarok/Xine-audio engine pauses when using K3B

Well. Title says it all. AmaroK and/or xine-audio-engine pauses from few seconds to approx. minute when K3B starts burning, erasing rw or starts writing leadout.

This "windows-like" behaviour is new to me, 'cause in any other distro i've been on earlier didn't have this issue.. Anyone else familiar with this behaviour? Or better yet, does anyone know how to end this?

It's not about hardware, because this same box did well with kubuntu and fedora.
