Warcraft III - bad gaming performance wth Wine and i945gm

I have installed Warcraft III with Wine and starting it with the -opengl option.
My graphics card is a built in Intel i945gm in my Thinkpad x60s.

Although I have set the details to Medium and low my performance is fairly bad. I get an average FPS of 20-25 which even drops to 15 sometimes.

Is there any way to increase my performance?

This is what glxgears gives me:
