[SOLVED] How do I reset the catalyst settings?

I recently went from 2 monitors back to one on my laptop using the catalyst control center, and after I rebooted the mouse sticks at the right side of the screen like it is still able to go to the other screen, and my kooldock is offset to the right of the screen (would have been centered in my old setup).

Something got messed up, I tried removing and reinstalling catalyst and catalyst-utils, rebuilding my xorg.conf and I still have the same problems.

Is there any way I can delete the catalyst settings so I can start over?  I have set everything default in the control center to no avail.

Re: [SOLVED] How do I reset the catalyst settings?

I had the same problem recently. I connected an external monitor to my laptop, and set up dual head. Then i decided I wouldn't bother using a dual head setup, so I reverted my xorg.conf to the version I had previously used (single head mode). Except it didn't work like it should any more, producing the same behavior as you are experiencing (if i understand you correctly).
Anyway, after hours of googling, trial and error, swearing and shaking my fist at my laptop; I solved it by adding this;

Option "DesktopSetup" "single"

to the device section of my xorg.conf. You might wanna try it aswell.

No luck here.:(

I didn't change my xorg.conf, I only changed settings as a user in the ati control center, but it seems to globally affect the xorg server (does it before I log in).

Figured it out, I had to remove /etc/ati/ to reset the settings.  Somehow the program edits those files as a user...?
