Sound in Eschalon Book I demo

Hi. I managed to get the Eschalon Book I demo running (I needed the mesa package), but no luck with sound. I've tried using the "default" setup that's packaged, and installing OpenAL, but at best I get a faint, distant whine, which might just be the volume settings as I try to adjust them.

Any suggestions? My sound setup is working perfectly at present (alsa-lib on maestro3), for most games and mplayer playback.

Thanks in advance. big_smile

I tried out this game too, I believe I had to use aoss. (aoss ./eschalon_demo (or what the binary is called))

Ah, excellent. I installed alsa-oss and aoss ./e... did the trick. Thanks!
