Bon Echo (firefox) not recognized.

Certain websites don't seem to recognize Bon Echo as Firefox 2.0, thus display a message that this browser isn't supported. Is there any way to make Bon Echo identify itself as "firefox"?

Re: Bon Echo (firefox) not recognized.

type "about:config" as url and press enter.
maybe there is some config option, that can solve your problem.
I´m not sure but maybe this helps a bit.

That's the key - I have to do this to get the online banking site I use to recognise Bon Echo as Firefox.  Enter "about:config" in the location bar, filter for "useragent" and change general.useragent.extra.firefox to read "Firefox/<version number>".

Re: Bon Echo (firefox) not recognized.

ah I found it, general.useragent.extra.firefox needs to be set to Firefox/version instead of BonEcho/version.
