Problem starting Rox as "root" in Fluxbox menu

i am try to run a bash script to start Rox in "root" from the menu in Fluxbox. here is the script,

#! /bin/bash
su -c  "rox"

it runs fine from the console, but from the menu after i enter my password xterm shuts down.

please help

maybe out of line here but it may be safer to use sudo instead

tried running gksu, got this message

* (gksu:6440): WARNING **: couldn't communicate with gnome keyring daemon via dbus: The name org.gnome.keyring was not provided by any .service files
