Hello ,
I am looking for an xorg-dev package.
For instance:
xorg-dev - the X.Org X Window System development libraries
xserver-xorg-dev - X.Org X server -- development files
as found under Ubuntu.
It looks it is needed to run "Vbox guest addition.run" script properly.
Do I have any chance to find these packages somewhere in Arch ?

Ubuntu splits packages, Arch doesn't. Our xorg packages, and all our other packages, provide everything that is included in the upstream releases. That includes development libraries and files.
FYI - vbox guest additions are available via pacman.

ok thanks.
So I still don't unserstand why the VirtualLinuAddtions.run script does not complete, saying that it can find any X.org or XFree installation.
I tried also to install vboxguestadditions with pacman, but when launching X, I get an error saying that the vboxvideo driver is not compatible with this version of X....(X server >=1.4.0)...
So I am stucked with this;

Just a shot in the dark but what version of VirtualBox do you have installed (http://www.virtualbox.de/ticket/731)?

Oh yes, thanks azleifel !
This is exactly my problem.
Now I have to find this version 1.5.2, beause the pacman package virtualbox-ose-xorg-drivers (supposely 1.5.2-1) seems to not contain the right .so.

Alrighty! I've got to admit, however, that I'm a bit lost in understanding your problem at the moment. I saw your other post about VirtualBox and got the impression that you are running it on Ubuntu and have Arch installed in a VM. If I'm not making a complete mistake then you can grab the latest version 1.5.4 .deb from the VirtualBox website. It should come complete with the guest additions .iso that you can then mount from within VirtualBox when Arch is running.

azleifel, thank you.
As you suggested, I reinstall Virtualbox on my ubuntu, and not the OSE version this time. I installed version 1.5.4.
I picked the Guestadditions version 1.5.4 iso image and installed. It rans smootly under Arch and installed the video driver.
Now, it works fine !
