Couldn´t find any appropriate topic or sub-forum here, so I decided to ask. For example: Maxima 5.14 and wxMaxima 0.74 have been released even before the New Year and haven´t even hit tesing so far. Is there any way to attract the package maintainer´s attention to this issue? This isn´t the first time some rather specific program is being updated and has waited for its inclusion into Arch´s repository for a while. What can one do in such situations apart from building custom packages from scratch? Of course, I´m not speaking here about any heavy stuff like KDE/GNOME or some security-risking updates.

1. Flag the package out of date in the web interface.
2. If you must have an updated package today, use ABS to bump the version and locally rebuild.
