I feel silly asking this but I must be using incorrect search terms since I can't find the answer.
I am running Firefox on Arch x64. Even though there is not a Flash plugin for FF x64, I am still getting the prompt to install the plugin when I visit various sites. Is there a way to have Firefox not prompt me for this?
My thanks in advance to everyone!

I don't want to install Flash. What I want is for Firefox to stop prompting me to install Flash.

Look at the instructions near the bottom of this page: http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/faqs/firefox-linux.html
You may be able to do that more simply by typing about:config in the address bar on Firefox, and typing plugin in the search window near the top. I didn't try it because I'd have to uninstall Flash, then reinstall afterward.

...or install the flashblock extension. You may need to add gnash in case the website asks the browser.

1. Open about:config in firefox, and set plugin.default_plugin_disabled to false.
2. Delete libnullplugin.so from your Mozilla Firefox plugins directory. You may have to do this as root if you do not have write access to your Mozilla Firefox installation from your user account.
