vtk

according to
http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=3973 anyone succeeded building vtk?
I am having a half-finished PKGBUILD:

pkgname=vtk
pkgver=4.4
pkgrel=1
pkgdesc="The Visualization ToolKit (VTK)"
url="http://public.kitware.com/VTK/"
depends=()
makedepends=('cmake')
source=(http://cesnet.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/vtk/VTK-4.4-LatestRelease.tar.gz)
md5sums=()
                                                                                                                      build()
{
  export CXX=g++
  export CC=gcc
  cd $startdir/src/VTK
  cmake -i
  make
}

The first thing is, 'cmake -i' is interactive, not that good. The second, it breaks after some time because it conflicts with an definition in the header file: /usr/include/c++/3.4.0/bits/postypes.h from gcc 3.4. I dont know if its a good idea commenting out the

      fpos
      operator+(streamoff __off) const
      {
        fpos __pos(*this);
        __pos += __off;
        return __pos;
      }

on line 174 of postypes.h. Any comments?

The PKGBUILD for cmake is here:

pkgname=cmake
pkgver=2.0.1
pkgrel=1
pkgdesc="CMake, the cross-platform, open-source make system"
url="http://www.cmake.org/"
source=(http://www.cmake.org/files/v2.0/$pkgname-$pkgver-x86-linux.tar.gz)
md5sums=('d237631b243862ad6c5c6978d301c5f2')
build()
{
  mkdir -p $startdir/pkg/usr
  cd $startdir/pkg/usr
  tar -xvf $startdir/src/$pkgname-$pkgver-x86-linux-files.tar
}

It would be appreciated if someone has some proposals how to build vtk.

Bye,
Eve
