If you've either got a net conection you could do this via ftp-install or from an already downloaded iso of Arch:

Just get yourself the .exe version and try it from windows.

will windows still boot after the .exe installation, and is install by ftp working now?
Well, I haven't had to use this, but according to this post:
Archlinux 2007.08 has been released, and it now actually has a working ftp install, which means a new build of UNetbootin for Arch... See the usual spot at http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile … _id=198821 for downloads (exe, sh, deb, and rpm formats)
FTP install should now work.
And the whole idea is that the .exe will just modify your bootloader and the boot.ini, adding the line 'UNetbootin' to point it at the tiny Arch loader, it won't delete or otherwise touch the files in XP. That tiny loader itself will start the whole install process, when you select the Unetbootin entry.
It boots, then you type
/arch/setup
and select the ftp method of install. Just make sure you know which partition contains your windows install, so you don't install over it during the Arch installation
Good luck

yes, everything installed good, but I noticed about a 30 sec lag starting udev. I searched this board and found the asnwser. Now I am about to update pacman and all packages.
