Scrot is a great utility and it pretty much has the same requirements as Feh, so I always install both on my Arch boxen.

The print screen button on my box uses scrot. Screen shots have never been more fun or easy.

Thanks it's not my work. I can send it to you if you'd like. Meanwhile I have another shot:

How did you move the menu bar of the applications to the top of the screen?
That was the easy part.
kcontrol -> Desktop -> Behavior -> General -> Tick Current Application's menu bar
Now the fun part is getting everything into that bar. You have to go into ~/.kde/share/config and copy what's in your kickerrc into kickerrc_menubarpanelrc and adjust it so everything arranges correctly. Once you do, you can hide the real kicker (mine's in the bottom-left corner, I use it just as a global taskbar) whereever.
Here's what my kickerrc_menubarpanelrc looks like:
[Applet_1]
ConfigFile=menu_panelappletrc
DesktopFile=menuapplet.desktop
FreeSpace2=0
WidthForHeightHint=485
[Applet_3]
ConfigFile=systemtray_panelappletrc
DesktopFile=systemtrayapplet.desktop
FreeSpace2=1
WidthForHeightHint=54
[Applet_4]
ConfigFile=clock_panelapplet_r7hjmyvnrpz14c4gmb7o_rc
DesktopFile=clockapplet.desktop
FreeSpace2=1
WidthForHeightHint=133
[General]
Applets2=KMenuButton_1,Applet_1,Applet_3,Applet_4
CustomSize=23
IExist=true
Position=2
Size=4
XineramaScreen=-2
[KMenuButton_1]
FreeSpace2=0

Here you go. It's not much to look at though:

userresources=$HOME/.Xresources
usermodmap=$HOME/.Xmodmap
sysresources=/etc/X11/xinit/.Xresources
sysmodmap=/etc/X11/xinit/.Xmodmap
# merge in defaults and keymaps
if [ -f $sysresources ]; then
xrdb -merge $sysresources
fi
if [ -f $sysmodmap ]; then
xmodmap $sysmodmap
fi
if [ -f $userresources ]; then
xrdb -merge $userresources
fi
if [ -f $usermodmap ]; then
xmodmap $usermodmap
fi
# start some nice programs
evilwm -bw 3 -bg grey65 -fg grey65 -term urxvt &
xset s off
feh --bg-center ~/Wallpapers/out.jpg
conky -x 15 -y 15 &
exec urxvt -name Terminal -tr -sh 65 -geometry 100x40+15+15

Switched to Xmonad a couple of days ago, it's pretty impressive Have been copy and pasting code from various configs all over the place so it's not exactly original.

Since I've discovered the beauty of text-only browsing, I have happily settled with Ratpoison and GNU Screen.
I have just created a little stupid configuration to show the current song in ratmen.
Not much to see, apart from that

I like it. Everytime I see a shot like your's, it makes me want to learn more about Screen and configuring it.

nifty; mind sharing your .Xdefaults?
I've seen young people waste their time reading books about sensitive vampires. It's kinda sad. But you say it's not the end of the world... Well, maybe it is!

screen is great.
I run rtorrent, irssi, moc, elinks, and raggle with screen. I'd like to get an email client that can use gmail setup. mutt looks a bit of work to get going, so im waiting until I have a few hours to devote to that.
