Now whenver i mount i get some mounting local filesystems
none something
/proc blah blah
none something again
/proc blah blah again..
Id tell you that stuff if i knew where to find it dmesg doesnt cover the custom stuff that arch has ... It only covers the kernel.

well for one thing udev is not default for an arch install so you may have to consult the forum search tool for more info o look on the wiki for any udev topics. i know jason was working on it but i don't know what the status is with it.
as for arch customizations..... other than a few changes in init scripts there is no customization of the file system especially not /proc or /dev. However if you are not used to udev or the default devfs then naming conventions may be odd.
perhaps you have not properly set up your udev configuration files. while being somewhat like devfs there are differences .... maybe even enough to cause the problems you are having.

is there not some file similar to devfsd.conf for udev (i don't use udev but for the sake of trying to help out i suggested this "option")? i know there are a few udev topic in the kernel section of the forum that might help you and loike i mentioned before there may be a topic for it on the arch wiki. if worse come to worse you could contact Xentac for some information.

Ah ok i know where the problem lies.. Its in the rc.sysinit file... If you go in there after you patched it with the udev patch you will see /proc mount stuff i think thats gotta be changed..
