I installed the vesa drivers for my ATI Radeon 9250, but it looked horrible, although I read vesa is just as a failsafe, which I can understand since my card doesn't work right away with other distributions.
I was wondering which driver would be the best for me, I don't game a whole lot, but it wouldn't be anything intensive seeing as what graphics card I have. I run in 1280x1024 resolution too.

If it helps, i use fglrx in a system w/ an X800GT. I think..been a long time since i meddled with it. No gaming? xf86-video-ati would suit you best i would think.
I need real, proper pen and paper for this.
