Is Gnome 2.20.3 x86_64 only ?

I am seeing something strange. And I can see it also on my own country prefered mirror.

Gnome 2.20.3 is only available for x86_64. i686 version is still 2.20.2

For exemple, go to : ftp://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distrib … a/os/i686/ and you'll find :

gnome-desktop-2.20.2-1-i686.pkg.tar.gz

But if you go to ftp://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distrib … os/x86_64/ you'll find :

gnome-desktop-2.20.3-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.gz

Is this a known bug ?!

it's not the end of life because i686 does not have 2.20.3 smile

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Well, it's not really a bug. Nobody's packaged 2.20.3 for i686 yet.

I thought i686 was the main CPU family for Arch ?!

Anyway, let's hope it will be corrected soon wink

No, it isn't the main CPU family. Both architectures are supported the same way!!

The GNOME maintainer happens to use amd64 to get full support for 8GB memory.
i686 packages will be available later this week.
